This term we will be learning about seaside holidays in the past and present.  We will learn about light houses and our local geography surrounding the seaside.  Through history we will learn about Queen Victoria and how her subjects enjoyed holidays.  We will be observing and describing seaside habitats and learning about electricity, sound and reflection.  We will also be conducting a range of science experiments linked to the seaside.

Florence Nightingale

We wrote a letter home from the front line.

This afternoon we carried out a light experiment to see how light helps us see things. Florence Nightingale needed a lamp to see the ward in the dark.
